It tests the candidate's ability on developing applications using ASP.NET in a development environment where Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 are used. Passing the 70-562 Exam will provide the candidate with credits towards various certifications such as MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist): .NET Framework 3.5, ASP.NET Applications; MCPD (Microsoft Certified Professional Developer): ASP.NET Developer 3.5; and MCPD: Enterprise Applications Developer 3.5.
The skills that are measured in the 70-562 Exam include configuring and deploying web applications; consuming and creating server controls; working with data and services; troubleshooting and debugging web applications; working with ASP.NET AJAX and client- side scripting; targeting mobile devices; and programming web applications.
